Kit bash brewing

Evening Brothers and Sisters of the Internet, Bif here. I was wandering through some of our older articles and realised that in our career as Ghetto brewers we’ve made quite a lot of our own equipment. I also realised that we often just breeze over telling you how and, in some cases why, we did what we did and how we did it. So, in order to rectify this, we’ve put together a number of articles for your delectation:

Mash Tun

Sparge Arm

I will say now that we are not the only people to have made these things (although our sparge arm was an original Manly Mens Brewery invention as far as I know) and a lot of our techniques are gleaned from others (Mostly our Brew mentor Sam at Southey Brewery) but, as our brewing philosophy very much includes teaching others to brew, it makes sense for us to tell you what we did and how we did it, not to mention how much it cost us…

So click on the links above and let us know what you think of our kit. Please feel free to use our ideas for your own homebrew kit…
